Comments:

Life has always treated me well and I've enjoyed every moment of it. Along the way I've met some most interesting, phenomenal and varied personages. Also, had the pleasure to know and love some beautiful, engaging ladies, but never quite found the time or inclination to sign on the dotted line.
Worked part time and attended OCC for 4 years (playing Tennis mostly). Volunteered for draft in 1965, served in Vietnam 66-67 War Zone C, III Corps near Cambodian border, where I again was blessed to know and serve with a good number of lifelong friends.
As an aside, our unit was awarded 3 Meritorious Unit Citations 1966-1967, and we were inducted into the Quartermaster Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Unit of the Regiment, Quartermaster Corps in 2004...a prestigious honor bestowed on few organizations.
After military, attended Cal State with major in Business; Industrial Relations/Contract Law. Spent 21 Years with Sears Roebuck in various management and out of store sales positions. Garnered a boatload of awards Pacific Coast Territory covering 6 States, which I dumped years ago. Retired in 1989, age 45 (promise made to self in Vietnam) and continue to fully enjoy all that life has to offer.
Dislike growing older, but earned every grey hair on my head...my first appearing at age 22, my last I've lost track of.

School Story:

Enjoyed High School and most college prep classes, Geometry being my major downfall. Especially enjoyed ROTC and devoted a good deal of my time to same. Met some lifelong friends at Tech as well as Oakland High, which I used to attend during summer school.
In retrospect, I wish I could have been more active in extra curricular activities, but at the time my plate was truly full.
In my mind the 50s and early to mid 60s were the golden days where one could do pretty much anything and everything within acceptable parameters of behaviour.
Doors were not locked, great music was being played, terrific role models abounded, parents were fantastic and an overall (seeming) ideal of good ethics, principles and morals seemed relatively pervasive.
Trivia:
Did you know, that the Class of 1963 nationally scored the highest SAT scores ever? The Class of 1961 was the next highest ever scored...a downhill run for others ever since.
