I am a man of the cloth, as they say - An unexpected vocation but a very rich and fulfilling adventure into the spiritual. I was ordained by the Presbyterian Church in 1973 and served churches in Montana, Utah, Portland, Arizona, and Colorado. I retired in 2009 but now serving as an interim pastor in Monument, CO for another 4 months or so. I earned a bachelor's of science in Psychology from Sacramento State, master's degree through San Francisco Theological seminary, and have completed a post-graduate degree in the art of spiritual direction. Somehow and someway, I was fortunate to have reconnected with one whom I dated, briefly, in high school, Marilyn Fazio. We married 44 years ago. Soon after graduating from seminary, I whisked her out of the Bay Area for the frontier never to have returned to CA again. After 23 years, we have settled in Colorado, living here longer than anywhere else, enjoying seasons and all that the Rocky Mountains provide - hiking, skiing, fishing, camping, and just gazing upon the mountains. I enjoy the outdoor life whether in snow or during the beautiful summer days. We managed to purchase a log home in the mountains and that has been a dream come true. The best thing, though, is having our kids and three grandchildren near by.
I do look forward to the reunion, though it all seems surreal, meeting past girlfriends and people who have been so formative in my life. I feel a certain bond with you all. In some ways it seems like those days are like yesterday. I can still see your faces and remember so vividly the gathering of the boys in the hallway each morning. I stayed in touch with only a few close buddies after high school but they since disappeared. "Where are they now?".... I have no clue. I have questions and wonder if I the only clergy person out of our class and what has life brought you through all our country's turbulent years? I figure my wife will be the center of activity for many of you. She still is the life of the party. All I figure is that the reunion will be a trip!
