Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments:

Attended Oakland Jr. College, Oakland, CA for several years. Couldn't "find myself" and decided to enter the corporate environment. Worked at Blue Cross of CA (Oakland, CA) for 18 years (Human Resources) and was laid-off; stayed home for about 8 months as housewife/mother; worked for Union Carbide/Praxair (San Ramon, CA) for 5 years (Human Resources) and was laid-off once again. Hired at Farmers Insurance Group , Pleasanton, CA (underwriting, SIU, liability claims) and worked for 14 years and was laid-off 2007. Yes, I've worked for 3 large corporations and was laid-off from each because of the poor economy. Housewife/care-giver to my husband until his recent death in 2010. I'm getting use to this retirement phase of life. Can not believe how quickly these years have flashed by!!!!!

School Story:

I enjoyed my high school years so very much and had many friends. Life was so easy back then.

HI there Walterene Jackson...guessing today is your special day and I want to join in and wish you a most Happy, Happy Birthday with many more to come with constant joy & happiness and good health always. Our Tech High's website is wonderful for keeping in contact with former classmates, such as you and BTW, your photograph, upper left is beautiful and I think we, the Class of '61 have aged pretty well. Wonderful seeing you at the 50th, fun to sit for lunch with the few of us to try to catch up on "life". I am still living in Dublin, CA....USA and have been in our home for approx. 35 years now. I, too, lost my husband David Louie on Memorial Day, May 31, 2010 after a long illness and we'd been married 36 years then. Our son Kyle is still living at home with me, a young 37, who takes good care of my welfare and makes me laugh constantly. He's single and it seems like kids nowadays don't want to be married...times have changed so much as "life" was so much easier when we were growing up and "knew everything" and with such freedom..... I see some of the gals, Irene Endo and Susanne Hom now and then, but time is getting longer between visits as we are still quite busy with our day-to-day routine and family. I am well, tried to find PT work to no avail and I surely do not want to work in retail (too hard for so little pay, did xmas PT at Macy's), nor MacDonald's...Kyle says I could become a "manager" within a day...no way. Well, Walterene, just wanted to surprise you with a b/d greeting and here I've written another news article....yeh Scribe News. Wishing you continued good health with hopes of seeing you at our next reunion. warm regards, Rosie Wong (Louie)
