When I saw the list of people who had passed on from the class of 1961, I was shocked. Dennis Burdick lived up the street from me on Armanino Ct. (just off of College Avenue) when my family moved to Oakland from Walnut Creek in 1956. For a couple of years, Dennis and I were best friends. During the summers, there would be baseball games in the evenings at Claremont Jr. High, and we spent a lot of time there. As it happens with so many relationships, we went our different ways. At Tech, he was one of the "shop guys," and I was on my way to college.
I don't know what Dennis did with his life after Tech, but I have very fun and pleasant memories of knowing him. He was a good guy, and I hope he had a good life.
