Dear Steve,

Ever since I saw your website, I have been wanting to write a memorial to you. I was blown away by what I saw and heard about what you had been up to over the years. I had no idea. It is not a world I know very much about, but I could see that you loved it and lived your life to the fullest and according to your beliefs. I liked what you had to say about your work, about art, and about the angels in your life. You said to "work from your heart and soul and put everything you have into your work, and if you can't believe in what you are doing, then change and find something you adore"...wise words and words you so obviously lived by. I love seeing you in the videos...you are so beautiful with your heart shining in your eyes.

i liked you in high school even though we never got to know each other really well obviously. I would have loved to have attended your puppet theater. But I was very naive and inexperienced in high school, and I think you sensed that as you so often teased me, though I always knew you liked me as a friend. I never would have understood your world back then. I would have been judgemental I'm sorry to say. Now I may not understand it well, but I do accept and honor the life you lived.

in my yearbook, you wrote some nice things to me and ended with "have a vivid life". I do believe it was you who had the truly vivid life....an apt description. I see you now with all your beloved angels...bringing joy wherever you might be. I'm sorry you died so young. You make me think of a shooting star...flashing brilliantly across the sky for just a short time but with so much pizzazz and style.

If there is a future somewhere else, I hope we meet again. I'd like to get to know you better.

With love,

Diane Wallace Larson
